Redwing MN, Barn Bluff
Ever drive through Redwing and see that big bluff all by itself? That’s called Barn Bluff and was formed by glaciers carving deep valleys around it.
It used to be mined for limestone from approximately 1878 to 1908. Then in 1910 was donated to city as a public park. It’s the time to go now.
The trees are in almost full color with trails going across the top with views for many miles. On the river side of the bluff, steep trails dropping off straight down to the river as it winds through the thick woods and cliffs.
Many rock climbers also come here to scale some of the walls. I highly recommend taking a trip down there to check it out.
